Minutes of the Meeting Project Support Grant Interviews Middletown Commission on the Arts Wednesday, February 7, 2024 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. 363 Main Street, Webster Bank Building 2nd Floor Conference Room Present: MCA Grants Panel Sandra Russo Driska, Chair David Wolfram, Secretary Also present, Kisha Michael, Staff 1. Call to order – 4:00 p.m. 2. Applicant interviews discussion and Q&A ensued between the review panel and the following interviewees:  4:10 p.m. – Police Activity League of Middletown (PAL)  4:30 p.m. – Resonant Motion, Inc.  4:50 p.m. – Middletown Arts Fest  5:10 p.m. – Susan Nathiel  5:30 p.m. – Kaleidoscope 3. Panel Discussion and recommendations – discussion ensued about the importance of applicants meeting the stated criteria as stated in the guidelines: artistic and cultural focus, viability & likelihood of success, provide a unique service fulfill an unmet need, benefit Middletown residents, and take place in the City of Middletown. Recommendations were drafted to bring forward to the full commission for discussion at the MCA’s upcoming special meeting tentatively scheduled for 2- 15-2024. 4.
