Dan Penney.
I. Introduction
II. Review of January 16, 2019 Meeting Minutes -
The minutes were discussed but not accepted due to low
member attendance
III. New Woodrow Wilson Middle School Update/Status
John Giuliano stated that the bills for the project have been approved. BVH
have become the commissioning agent who oversees the jobs and makes sure
they are done by specs. More details have been discussed with the Clean
Energy Task Force in regards to the use of solar power and installing the
vertical window shades.
The generators were also discussed as to what type will possibly be used and in
what areas they will be used as chillers. The cost of this project is on target.
IV. Status on 5- year Facilities Plan – to be discussed at April meeting.
V. Lighting Protocol at the Woodrow Wilson Middle School Track/Field
Cheryl McClellan suggested a policy needs to be developed and to check on park
ordinances in regards to hours of field operation and the closing of the field
when weather conditions are poor.
The bathrooms need to be sure they are locked and not used when the area is
closed for the season. There is a problem with people using the facilities when
there is no water available.
VI. Damages and/or Repairs to District Facilities
Spencer School had a physical plant problem and issue is being looked
into as to why no one had been notified of the situation.
Wesley School had an issue and Adult Ed had a leak and frozen pipes
which was addressed, repaired and cleaned up very quickly.
