COMMITTEE CONCERNING PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES MEETING MINUTES City of Middletown 61 Durant Terrace May 2, 2023 6:00 PM 1. Members Present: Marty Knight/Chairperson, Joe Bibisi, Phil Cacciola, Elderrean Paules, Keith Vinci, and Molly Carta (Via Webex) Absent: Laurie McFadden, August DeFrance, Richard Pelletier Staff Present: Catherine Lechowicz – Director of Recreation and Community Services General Public: none 2. Meeting Called to Order: Called to order at 6:01pm. 3. Public Hearing: none 4. Approval of Minutes: A motion to approve the meeting minutes of April 4, 2023, was made by Elderrean Paules and seconded by Keith Vinci. The motion carries. Departmental Reports:  Elderrean Paules stated that she did not have anything to report. Phil Cacciola stated that the generator should be ready late spring. A discussion ensued.  Molly Carta stated that she did not have anything to report.  Keith Vinci stated that things are moving slowly regarding the CT Hospital Association and the deaf community with trying to resurrect the consent decree. A discussion ensued.  Joe Bibisi stated that he has nothing to report.  Phil Cacciola stated that he has nothing to report. A discussion ensued.  Cathy Lechowicz stated that there have been no ADA issues that were called into the Municipal Agent this month. A discussion ensued.
