SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL
MIDDLETOWN, CONNECTICUT
December 8, 2011
Special Meeting A community meeting of the Common Council of the City of Middletown was
held in the Council Chamber, on Thursday, December 8, 2011 at 7 p.m.
Present Mayor Daniel T. Drew, Council Members Ronald P. Klattenberg, Mary A.
Bartolotta, Gerald E. Daley, Robert P. Santangelo, Hope P. Kasper, Philip J..
Pessina, Joseph E. Bibisi, Corporation Counsel William Howard Sergeant-at-
Arms Officer Michael Thompson and Officer Adam Martinelli, and Council Clerk
Marie O. Norwood.
Absent Council Members Thomas J. Serra, Grady L. Faulkner, Linda Salafia, Todd
Berch, and Deborah A. Kleckowski.
Also Present Two members of the public.
Meeting Called to Order The Mayor calls the meeting to order at 7:02 p.m. and leads the public in the
Pledge of Allegiance.
Call of Meeting Read The Call of Meeting was read and accepted. The Mayor declares the Call a
Legal Call and the Meeting a Legal Meeting.
Public Comment Opens The Chair opens public comment on items under the jurisdiction of the Common
Council at 7:04 p.m. He asks if there are any members of the public wishing to
speak.
Sebastian Giuliano, 348 Maple Shade, states let me wish the Mayor and
Council very merry Christmas and happy New Year and could everyone be
present at Rentschler Field on Saturday at 5:30 where Xavier meets Staples to
bring back another State Championship title and he would like to see all of
Middletown there.
The Mayor states an excellent point.
Public Comment Closes The Chair asks if there are any other comments from the public; seeing none
he closes public comment at 7:05 p.m.
Motion to Adjourn Councilman Klattenberg moves to adjourn the meeting and is seconded by
Councilman Bibisi. The vote is called and it is unanimous to adjourn with eight
aye votes. The Chair declares the meeting adjourned at 7:05 p.m.
