SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL MIDDLETOWN, CONNECTICUT JULY 12, 2012 Special Meeting A special meeting of the Common Council of the City of Middletown was held in the Council Chamber on Thursday, July 12, 2012 at 7 p.m. Present Mayor Daniel T. Drew, Council members Thomas J. Serra, Mary A. Bartolotta, Gerald E. Daley, Robert Santangelo, Hope P. Kasper, Grady L. Faulkner, Jr., Joseph E. Bibisi, Todd G. Berch; Corporation Counsel Daniel B. Ryan; and Council Clerk Marie Norwood. Absent Council Members Ronald P. Klattenberg, Philip J. Pessina, Linda Salafia, and Deborah Kleckowski. Also Present Three members of the public Meeting Called to Order The Mayor calls the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. and leads the public in the Pledge of Allegiance. Call of Meeting Read The Call of Meeting was read and accepted. The Mayor declares the Call a Legal Call and the Meeting a Legal meeting. Public Hearing Opens The Chair opens public comment at 7:01 p.m. and asks if there are any members of the public wishing to address the Council on matters under their jurisdiction. Noted for the Record Councilwoman Kasper takes her seat at 7:01 p.m. Public Comment Closes The Chair asks if there are other members of the public wishing to speak; seeing none, he closes the public hearing at 7:05 p.m. Motion to Adjourn Councilman Santangelo moves to adjourn and his motion is seconded by Councilwoman Bartolotta.
