Absent: Bruce Plumley, Marilyn Mills 1. Call to Order The meeting was called to order at 5:05pm. 2. Public Comment for Items on the Agenda 3. Old Business 4. New Business 4.1. New enclosed vestibule, exterior renovations, landscaping, and signage for a new behavioral health facility in an existing building located at 1 MacDonough Place (map-lot 24-0291) in the proposed SMH zone. Applicant/Agent: David Giuffrida/Middlesex Hospital. SE2022-4 Steve Doherty presented the plans for 1 MacDonough Place describing the minor changes that will be made to the property. There will be removal of some landscaping on the site to accommodate traffic for the main entrance from Main Street Extension. The exterior of the building will be cleaned up and repainted, but the building itself will remain relatively the same. The signage at the entrance from Main Street Extension will match the stone veneers of Middlesex Hospital across the street. Maria Madsen Holzberg made a motion to approve the renovations as presented. Brian Kronenberger seconded the motion. Motion passed: 5-0 4.2. Historical Structure Tax Abatement Review for exterior renovations to the building located at 135 High Street. Applicant/Agent: James & Erica Fowler. SPR 2022-149 Director Kozikowski confirmed that this is the same project that the Board reviewed for exterior alteration last fall. This review is for the recommendation for the historic structure tax abatemement. Brian Kronenberger made a motion to approve the Tax Abatement. Christina Wasch seconded the motion. Minutes of the April 13, 2022 meeting Maria Madsen Holzberg made a motion to accept the minutes of the March 30, 2022 and April 13, 2022 meetings. Brian Kronenberger seconded the motion.
