LOCATION: COUNCIL CHAMBERS, CITY HALL In attendance: Brian Kronenberger, Christina Wasch, Lee Godburn, Wendy Smith, Jammie Middleton. Staff: Marek Kozikowski, Director. Eight members of the public were present. 1. Call to Order The meeting was called to order at 6:01 pm. 2. Public Comment for Items on the Agenda None. 3. Old Business None. 4. New Business 4.1. Request for the proposed installation of a 400 kW generator at 111 Church Street in the DVD zone. Applicant/Agent: Rafiq Bulsara/S&R Engineers, LLC. SPR2023-104 As a continuation from the last meeting, the project manager and the landscape architect described the new landscaping that will be screening for the generator from the public way. The proposal was modified to include new evergreen trees 5-6 ft tall for screening, grown to 10-15 ft tall. Motion to approve subject to the condition that if any of the screening trees dies, that it be replaced in kind. Made by Wasch; seconded by Godburn. Unanimously approved. 4.2. Request for new construction for a mixed use building at 584 Main Street. SPR2023- 183. Dominick DeMartino, applicant presented the application. The front of the building has been removed and will be constructed as proposed in the plans provided. The building facade will have beige hardie board with white trim and black railings on the windows. The windows on the front façade will be double hung with wood frames to match the original windows. The windows on the side will be a more affordable quality. Portions of the moldings were preserved and will be duplicated with an aztak product and painted to match. The first floor will have a cassette awning of possibly white or Navaho color. Motion to approve as presented. Made by Godburn; seconded by Smith. Joseph Banks described the potential restoration of the building including new siding, windows and other façade improvements. He will return with a formal application. 5. Minutes 5.1. Minutes of the May 24, 2023 meeting Motion to approve the minutes. Made by Kronenbergery; seconded by Wasch Motion passed. Godburn abstained. 6. Public Comment for Items Not on the Agenda None. 7. Adjournment Motion to adjourn Made by Kronenberger, seconded by Wasch. Passed unanimously. The meeting adjourned at 6:39 pm.
