Downtown Business District Special Meeting Minutes Wednesday, April 3, 2019 330 Main Street, Suite 200 Middletown, CT. Attendees: Diane Gervais (Commissioner) Lisa Melaven (DBD Office) Marc Levin (Commissioner) Mike DiPiro (Commissioner) Jennifer Alexander (Commissioner) Mary Ann Perrotti (Commissioner) Patrick Harding (Commissioner) Tom Ford (Commissioner) A special meeting of the Downtown Business District was called on Wednesday, April 3 rd, by Commissioner and Vice Chair Diane Gervais. The purpose of this meeting is to re-consider a mill rate for our FY2019-2020 budget. At our Annual Meeting on Wednesday, March 27th we discussed a mill rate of 2.21. A clerical error was made when entering data information into our Access program, based on the appropriate property value. Our original proposed number from the budget committee was set at $170,000.00; with our current mill rate of 2.21 would bring in $172,930.41. A vote on floor to lower mill rate to 2.18, setting the FY2019-2020 budget $170,582.94  Motion to approve by Mike DiPiro  2nd by Marc Levin  Budget accepted Jennifer Alexander made a motion to adjust the special projects line to $5,582.94 in bringing the DBD total budget to $170,582.94.  Motion with amendment – Marc Levin  2nd by Mike DiPiro  Budget accepted  Motion to adjourn by Jennifer Alexander  2nd by Marc Levin  Adjourn accepted
