Call to Order Chairman Faulkner called the meeting to order at 7:02 p.m. B. Approval of Minutes Council Member Salafia made a motion to approve the minutes of May 1, 2018. Chairman Faulkner seconded the motion. Motion passed. C. Public Session No member of the public were present for the Public Session. D. Executive Session Motion to go into Executive Session by Council Member Salafia, seconded by Chairman Faulkner. Motion passed. Zak Delany presented discussion regarding strategy and negotiations with respect to Joanne Gilbert vs. City of Middletown, pursuant to sections 1-200 (6) (B) and 1-225 of the Connecticut General Statutes, as amended. Motion to rise from Executive Session by Council Member Salafia, seconded by Chairman Faulkner. Motion passed unanimously. Motion by Council Member Salafia to provide settlement authority for Joanne Gilbert vs City of Middletown as presented and discussed in Executive Session, seconded by Council Member Blanchard, motion passed unanimously. E. Report on Claims Closed within the General Counsel’s Settlement Authority and City’s Insurance Carrier, CIRMA 1. City of Middletown Senior & Community Center 2. Desmond Desima vs. City of Middletown 3. City of Middletown vs. Timothy Obriskie F. Other Business 1. Nancy Conaway-Raczka, discussed the status of the insurance funds balances for fiscal year 17-18. 2. Matt Bacon, Claims Administrator presented a property damage claim bill for Belfor Property Restoration. Motion to approve payment for Belfor Property Restoration made by Council Member Blanchard, Seconded by Chairman Faulkner. Motion passed. G.
