Call to Order Chairman Faulkner called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. B. Approval of Minutes Council Member Salafia made a motion to approve the minutes of December 4, 2018. Council Member Blanchard seconded the motion. Motion passed. C. Public Session No member of the public were present for the Public Session. D. Executive Session Motion to go into Executive Session by Council Member Salafia, seconded by Council Member Blanchard. Motion passed unanimously. Attorney Mike Rose presented discussion regarding strategy and negotiations with respect to Tiesha Veazey vs. City of Middletown, pursuant to sections 1-200 (6) (B) and 1-225 of the Connecticut General Statutes, as amended. Motion to rise from Executive Session by Council Member Salafia, seconded by Council Member Blanchard. Motion passed unanimously. Motion by Council Member Salafia to provide settlement authority for Tiesha Veazey vs City of Middletown, Council Member Blanchard seconded motion, motion passed unanimously. E. Report on Claims Closed within the General Counsel’s Settlement Authority and City’s Insurance Carrier, CIRMA 1. Alana Faulkner vs. City of Middletown 2. Christopher Aresco vs. City of Middletown 3. Jennifer Hunter vs. City of Middletown 4. Roselie Sapia vs. City of Middletown and the BOE 5. Rebecca Reinhold vs. City of Middletown 6. Unreimbursed Property Payments F. Other Business 1. Nancy Conaway-Raczka discussed the status of the insurance funds balances for fiscal year 18-19. 2. Nancy Conaway-Raczka, Risk Manager, will presented discussion on the proposed FY19-20 budgets G.
