Present: Chairman Grady Faulkner; Council Member Linda Salafia; Council Member
Darnell Ford
Also Present: Claims Administrator, Matthew Bacon;
A. Call to Order
Chairman Faulkner called the meeting to order at 5:31 p.m.
B. Approval of Minutes
Council Member Salafia made a motion to approve the minutes of September 1, 2020.
Council Member Ford seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously.
C. Public Session
No member of the public were present for the virtual Public Session.
D. Report on Claims Closed within the General Counsel’s Settlement Authority
and City’s Insurance Carrier, CIRMA
a. None
E. Other Business
1. Matt Bacon, Claims Administrator, presented a property damage claim for a
Military Museum performed by Tull Brothers. Motion to approve payments up to
$5,074.91 for the repairs made by Council Member Ford, Seconded by Council
Member Salafia. Motion passed unanimously.
2. Matt Bacon, Claims Administrator, presented a property damage claim for a
cemetery fence due to wind performed by Garofalo & Saraceno. Motion to
approve payments up to $34,900.00 for the repairs made by Council Member
Salafia, Seconded by Council Member Ford. Motion passed unanimously.
3. Discussion of pending claim reporting. Explained how the City is working with
the new claim software CIRMA rolled out in September and how some data may
be modified slightly from what was previously presented.
F. Adjournment
The Committee adjourned at 5:50 p.m. on motion of Chairman Faulkner, seconded by
Council Member Salafia, and carried unanimously.
