MIDDLETOWN PRIDE SCHOLARSHIP SUBCOMMITTEE
SPECIAL MEETING DECEMBER 6, 2023
Present: Vice Chair Jennifer Billingsley, Commissioner Beth Shapiro, Trevor Charles, Nina
Vasquez-Rosa, and Assistant General Counsel Christopher Forte.
Members of the Public: None.
1. Call to Order. AGC Forte called the meeting to order at 5:40 p.m.
2. Public Session on Agenda Items. None.
3. New Business.
A. Review of Middletown Pride Scholarship Application. Discussion regarding
eligibility for the Middletown Pride Scholarship Program and the content of the
application.
B. Setting of Dates for Scholarship Activation and Deadlines. No updates.
C. Scholarship Presentation. Discussion regarding whether to require recipients of the
scholarship to appear in person at the Pride Rally in order to receive the award. The
consensus was they should appear in person during the Pride Rally on June 1.
D. Setting of Dates for Next Subcommittee Meeting. Subcommittee members will
meet one more time prior to the end of the year. Date TBD.
4. Adjournment. Session adjourned at 6:25 p.m.
