MIDDLETOWN PRIDE SCHOLARSHIP SUBCOMMITTEE
SPECIAL MEETING APRIL 2, 2024
Present: Vice Chair Jennifer Billingsley, Commissioner Beth Shapiro, Trevor Charles, Nina
Vasquez-Rosa, and Assistant General Counsel Christopher Forte.
Members of the Public: None.
1. Call to Order. AGC Forte called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.
2. Public Session on Agenda Items. None.
3. New Business.
A. Review of Middletown Pride Scholarship Applications Received.
MOTION: Motion was made by Beth Shapiro and seconded by Trevor Charles to
recommend to the LGBTQIA+ Commission that the first-ever Middletown Pride
Scholarship be awarded the following recipients in the following amounts:
William Ollayos: $7,000
Kenzie Howden: $2,000
Claire Jaime Fresher: $1,000
Motion passed unanimously at 6:23 p.m.
4. Adjournment. Motion to adjourn was made by Jennifer Billingsley and seconded by Beth
Shapiro. Motion passed unanimously and session adjourned at 6:24 p.m.
