THE MATTABASSETT DISTRICT - Minutes of April 19, 2021 PUBLIC SPEAKERS None. MINUTES OF April 19, 2021 Roll Call of Members The monthly meeting of the Board of Directors of The Mattabassett District was held Monday, April 19, 2021, remotely. Chairman John Dunham called the meeting to order at 7:01 p.m. A roll call was taken and a quorum was present. Present from the Town of Cromwell were Directors Doug Sienna, Bonnie Anderson and Joseph Corlis. Present from the Town of Berlin was Director Bob Argazzi. Present from the City of Middletown were Directors David Bauer and Gerald Daley. Present from the City of New Britain were Directors Rick Healey, Don Naples, Katie Breslin and Mary Marrocco. Also present were Edward T. Lynch Jr. – District Counsel, Arthur Simonian - Executive Director, Bill Adkins – Maintenance Manager, Michelle Ryan – District Engineer and Mike Manfre – Operations Manager. Middletown Director, Joe Samolis arrived at 7:32 p.m. Berlin Director Jim Fallon was absent, New Britain Director Tonilynn Collins was absent and Middletown Director Dale Aldieri was absent. Approval of March 15, 2021 Minutes MOTION: Mr. Sienna moved to approve the minutes of March 15, 2021. Ms. Breslin seconded the motion. Discussion RESOLVED: The motion was approved unanimously. Approval of March 31, 2021 Minutes MOTION: Mr. Sienna moved to approve the minutes of March 31, 2021. Ms. Breslin seconded the motion. Discussion RESOLVED: The motion was approved unanimously. Treasurer's Report MOTION: Mr. Sienna moved to accept the Treasurer’s Report as presented. Budget Statement MOTION: Mr. Sienna moved to accept the Budget Statement as presented. Mrs. Marrocco seconded the motion. Discussion RESOLVED: The motion was approved unanimously. Check Register – March, 2021 No motion required. Staff Reports MOTION: Mr. Sienna moved to accept the Staff Reports as presented. Ms. Breslin seconded the motion. Discussion RESOLVED: The motion was approved unanimously. Executive Director’s Staff Actions: None Engineering Committee No report Finance Committee MOTION: Mr. Sienna moved to accept the Finance Committee Reports of March 23rd and March 29th as presented. Human Resources Committee No Report Property Management No Report Public Relations Committee MOTION: Mr. Samolis moved to accept the Public Relations Committee Report as presented. Mr. Naples seconded the motion. Discussion RESOLVED: The motion was approved unanimously. Counsel's Report No Report New Business MOTION: Mr. Sienna moved to table the Reserve Capacity discussion to the May 17, 2021 Board of Directors meeting. Mrs. Anderson seconded the motion. The Middletown WPCA meeting for the District’s Budget presentation will be held on Thursday, May 6th. Adjournment MOTION: Mr. Sienna moved to adjourn.
