THE M ATTABASSETT D ISTRICT - M in utes o f Dec e mb e r 1 8, 2 02 3 PUBLIC SPEAKERS None MINUTES OF MONDAY, DECEMBER 18, 2023 Roll Call of Members The monthly meeting of the Board of Directors of The Mattabassett District was held on Monday, December 18, 2023, in the Administration Building. Chairman John Dunham called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. A roll call was taken. Present from the Town of Cromwell were Directors Joe Corlis, Doug Sienna and Bonnie Anderson. Present from the Town of Berlin were Directors Jim Fallon and Liam Mitchell. Present from the City of Middletown were Directors Joe Samolis, David Bauer and Gerald Daley. Present from the City of New Britain were Directors Don Naples, Daniel Salerno, Mary Marrocco and Rick Healey. Also, present was Edward T. Lynch Jr. – District Counsel and Executive Director Arthur Simonian. Board members Tonilynn Collins and Carl Erlacher were absent. PUBLIC SPEAKERS None. Approval of November 20, 2023, Minutes MOTION: Mr. Sienna moved to approve the minutes of the November 20, 2023, Board Meeting. Mr. Samolis seconded the motion. Discussion RESOLVED: The motion was approved unanimously. Treasurer's Report MOTION: Mr. Bauer moved to approve the Treasurer’s Report as presented. Mrs. Marrocco seconded the motion. Mrs. Marrocco seconded the motion. Discussion RESOLVED: The motion was approved unanimously. Check Register No Report. Staff Reports MOTION: Mr. Bauer moved to approve the Staff Reports as presented. Mr. Samolis seconded the motion. Discussion RESOLVED: The motion was approved unanimously. Executive Director’s Staff Actions The Executive Director will contact the Auditor to see if any other documents or actions are needed by the District. Engineering Committee MOTION: Mr. Bauer moved to approve the November 30th Engineering Report as presented. Mr. Mitchell seconded the motion. Discussion RESOLVED: The motion was approved unanimously. Finance Committee MOTION: Mr. Bauer moved to approve the December 12th Finance Report with Ed Lynch present. Human Resources Committee MOTION: Mr. Bauer moved to approve the December 11th Human Resources Report as presented. Mr. Naples seconded the motion. Discussion RESOLVED: The motion was approved unanimously. Property Management MOTION: Mr. Samolis moved to approve the December 4th Property Management Report as presented. Mr. Sienna seconded the motion. Discussion RESOLVED: The motion was approved unanimously. Public Relations Committee No Report. Counsel Report No Report New Business None. RESOLVED: The meeting was adjourned at 6:20 p.m. The next meeting of the Board of Directors will be held on Tuesday, January 16, at 7:00 p.m. in the Administration Building, 245 Main Street, Cromwell, CT.
