Committee Members: Committee Staff Councilman Robert Blanchard, Chairman Chris Holden, Middletown Dept. of Public Works Ken McClellan, Vice Chairman Steve Nelson, MPN Architects Ron Organek Jerry Augustine Mike Rogalsky Phil Cacciola Larry Riley Arthur Meyers MIDDLETOWN MILITARY MUSEUM BUILDING COMMITTEE SPECIAL MEETING Wednesday, January 31, 2018 5pm MINUTES COUNCIL CHAMBER 245 deKOVEN DRIVE, MIDDLETOWN, CT 1) Chairman Calls Meeting to Order The chair called the meeting to order at 5pm. 2) Public Hearing No members of the public were present. 3) Staff Updates Conduit, electrical mainline in, work order with Eversource. 4) Construction Updates Siding is on site, building is prepared, installing windows 5) New Business A. Transfer switch Members discussed taking the credit, evaluate and determine post-construction. A motion to take the credit was made by Ed Monarca and seconded by Larry Riley. The motion to take the credit was unanimously approved.  B. Time extension request from J.A. Rosa Construction, LLC See attached letter from J.A. Rosa requesting 5/21 extension. C. Approve draft letter response to J.A. Rosa Construction regarding time extension request After a lengthy back and forth, the committee approved the letter with the changes below: -Invite John Rosa to the committee meeting being held on 2/8 to discuss the delay -Allowing only an extension to 3/15 rather than 5/21 The motion to approve the letter with the changes above was made by Mike Rogalsky, seconded by Ron Organek and unanimously approved. D. GeoInsight Invoice #51137, (Professional Services, Reimbursables and Outside Services), total: $2,092.91 A motion to pay GeoInsight Invoice #51137, total: $2,092.91 was made by Ed Monarca and seconded by Larry Riley. The motion to approve payment was unanimously approved. E. Geoinsight Invoice #51588 (Professional Services & Outside Services), total: $4,115.25 A motion to pay GeoInsight Invoice #51188, total: $4,115.25 was made by Larry Riley and seconded by Mike Rogalsky. The motion to approve payment was unanimously approved. 6) Adjournment A motion to adjourn was made by Jerry Augustine and seconded by Ed Monarca. The motion to adjourn was unanimously approved and the committed adjourned at 5:45pm.
