CALL TO ORDER
Chairman Andrew called the meeting to order at 11:00 a.m.
MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING
Chairman Andrew asked for a motion to accept the minutes from the previous meeting held on May 7.
The motion so moved, Commissioner Chisem seconded, and all voted in favor.

CORRESPONDENCE

MONTHLY REPORT
o Director Bartolotta gave the monthly report:
o Deputy Director Robert Grauer was officially appointed by the Common Council
as reported by Director Bartolotta
o Monthly call statistics were handed out:
o EMD for August was 95.11%
o Nothing unusual to report for the month
o Radio Project update:
o Continue weekly with Motorola conference calls
o Sites are coming along
o Verizon started this week with reinforcement on the Cross Street
tower – adding several microwave dishes and once done can begin
to connect the links from the outlying sites
o Cimarron Road – work still being done
o Agreement with Eversource for Aircraft Road – site soil testing
results due soon
o Portland High School – all equipment is in
o Mobile installation to start being installed in late fall/winter
o FedEx:
o Early concern was the ability to talk within the building
o Engineer hired to take a look within and awaiting result of study
o Engineer also looked at Middletown High School and will have a
report on there as well
o New Woodrow Wilson Middle School – committee meeting in September for
security concerns
o Staffing update:
o Currently have 2 in training, one should come off in October, and the
second in November – will make 18 (21 is full staff)
o New posting for trainee out to the public – modified job description for
anyone to apply and included a testing process

moved, and the meeting was adjourned at 11:11 a.m.
