PUBLIC SAFETY TELECOMMUNICATIONS LOCATION: via WebEx MONDAY, October 4, 2021 11:00 A.M. ---------- Minutes---------- Attendance: Members Present Chairman Ross Andrew Commissioner Susan Bransfield (PFD) Commissioner Seb Guiliano Commissioner Gene Nocera Members Absent None Staff Present Wayne Bartolotta – Director of Central Communications Robert Grauer – Deputy Director of Central Communications Jay Woron – Chief, Middletown Fire Jim Trzaski – Chief, South Fire District Don Gouin – Portland Emergency Management Erik Larson – Hunter’s Ambulance Public Present None CALL TO ORDER Chairman Andrew called the meeting to order at 11:00 a.m. MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING Commissioner Bransfield made a motion to accept the minutes from the September 13, 2021 meeting, Commissioner Giuliano seconded, and all voted in favor to accept the minutes as presented.  October 4, 2021 minutes PUBLIC HEARING o None CORRESPONDENCE o None MONTHLY REPORT o Director Bartolotta gave the monthly report:  Call statistics were emailed out o Nothing unusual to report o AT&T issues with their management information server resolved – numbers up slightly from pre-COVID, 2019 – mostly police related calls  Staffing update: o New dispatcher trainee started September 20th – will take a couple of months to get online  Training to be done: o Professional Development course, Enhanced Caller Management o CPR recertification  Generator basic maintenance in process  Major upgrade process to be done to radio system per agreement with Motorola  HVAC unit ordered & expected to be installed by the end of November  AT&T tower lease at Mile Lane – going to full hearing, no meeting date in place at this time OLD BUSINESS o None NEW BUSINESS o None ADJOURNMENT Commissioner Andrew moved for adjournment and the meeting was adjourned at 11:15 a.m. Respectfully Submitted, Lori Ruffino Recording Secretary
