PUBLIC SAFETY TELECOMMUNICATIONS LOCATION: via WebEx MONDAY, March 7, 2022 11:00 A.M. ---------- Minutes---------- Attendance: Members Present Chairman Ross Andrew Commissioner Ryan Curley (PFD) Commissioner Seb Giuliano Commissioner Gene Nocera Members Absent None Staff Present Wayne Bartolotta – Director of Central Communications Robert Grauer – Deputy Director of Central Communications Jay Woron – Chief, Middletown Fire Department Mike Desena – Middletown Police Department Erik Larson – Hunter’s Ambulance Kevin Ferrarotti – Hunter’s Ambulance Robert Shea – Chief, Portland Fire Department Public Present None CALL TO ORDER Chairman Andrew called the meeting to order at 11:00 a.m. MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING Chairman Andrew entertained a motion to accept the minutes from the January 3, 2022 meeting, Commissioner Giuliano moved to accept, Commissioner Nocera seconded, and all voted in favor to accept the minutes as presented. PUBLIC HEARING o None  March 7, 2022 minutes CORRESPONDENCE o None MONTHLY REPORT o Director Bartolotta gave the monthly report:  Call statistics were emailed out o Nothing unusual to report, February is a short month so numbers little lower than usual  Staffing update: o Currently at 19 – 18 fully on line and number 19 to go on line in April o Dispatcher posting just went up & out to the public  Mile Lane cell site update: o Decision expected March 24th, AT&T submitted last brief  Inter-local agreement approved by Portland and going to the Common Council this evening  City budget process under way – sat with the Mayor & the Finance team on March 3rd to discuss o Proposed budget for 2022-2023 is $2.5 million o Mayor asked that nothing change in the budget except the following: o Holiday pay increase due to Juneteenth holiday o A second trainer is to be added (current dispatcher to be moved to this position) at just over $5500 OLD BUSINESS o None NEW BUSINESS o None ADJOURNMENT Commissioner Andrew entertained a motion for adjournment, Commissioner Nocera so moved, and the meeting was adjourned at 11:06 a.m. Respectfully Submitted, Lori Ruffino Recording Secretary
