June 26 will be start date of public use. NEW BUSINESS: Sports grants Director Lechowicz clarified that the reason that Middletown Youth Baseball and Softball (MYBBSB) has a lower revenue this year is because they are charging $75 for their 75th anniversary year. Grace needs to be given to the sports leagues, but we do need the information. Ask the leagues to answer the questions before the money is released to them. Middletown Youth Lacrosse was very straightforward. They will need to increase their non-resident fees going forward. Ahern Whalen need to follow up. Withholding funds until questions are answered. Director Lechowicz will reach out and come back with their answers for the June meeting. Football and cheer. Question about field preparation. But this can be moved on. MYBBSB has added demographic information to their registration form. Middletown Youth Soccer share equipment with Sporting CT. MYS does need to pay for part of the equipment and electricity fees. As a city, should we support all leagues or just the ones who need help? In future, a portion could be for outreach. Too late now in the process for 2023. Proposals and recommendations will be brought to the June meeting for vote. MISCELLANEOUS: Next meeting is 6/15. ADJOURNMENT Harold Pancieri made a motion, Kristen Jensen seconded. Meeting adjourned at 6:46pm.
