Regular Meeting Draft Minutes
November 16, 2022
DiBattisto Associates and Christina Wasch reviewed project progress and timelines for the 40% design
for a new boathouse for Middletown High Rowing and improvements to existing boathouse for
community rowing.
The impacts of the planned DOT Route 17 ramp improvements were discussed. Howard Weissberg
forwarded the link for the Virtual Public Information Meeting held on 9/29/22 to the committee on
11/21/22

The following dates were reserved for Special Meetings of the Boathouse Building Committee for the
purpose of design review meetings with DiBattisto Associates and Christina Wasch. All three meetings
will be remote via WebEx and begin at 5:30 PM.

The City’s Code of Ordinances pertaining to Building Committees was discussed. Mr. Daley followed up
with an email stating the following, with respect to energy efficiency and conservation:
Evaluate how well planning, budgeting, design, and construction achieves the lowest possible
carbon footprint and highest possible levels of energy efficiency and conservation, with
reference to building sustainability criteria, including LEED (Leadership in Energy and
Environmental Design) gold certification or higher, Passive House, Living Building Challenge, and
Net Zero Energy.
Report to the Clean Energy Task Force and the Common Council the results of such Evaluation.
