Present: Trustees Becker, Thazhampallath; Committee Member Robert Kirkpatrick; Library Director and CEO Burkey; Chief Public Service Officer, Doyle; Director of Finance & HR Administration Harlow; guests Cynthia Clegg, Deborah, Moore, and Wallace ("Wally") Jones from the Community Foundation of Middlesex County 1. Call to Order: Chair Becker called the meeting to order at 8:30 a.in. 2. Public Session/Comment: There were no comments from members of the public. 3. Approval of Minutes: It was moved and seconded to approve the Finance Committee meeting minutes of January, March, and June 2018. The motion passed. 4. Investment Strategy: There was a discussion with members of the Community Foundation about its investment strategy and philosophy as well as investment service offered to non-profits by the CFMC. It was recommended that the library' s fundraising effort should go beyond Middletown and Middlesex County. 5.
