Press Release Office of the Mayor City of Middletown March 23, 2021 Connecticut 06457 EVERSOURCE BILL PAYMENT INFORMATION SESSION March 25, 2021 at 6:00pm Middletown, CT, – The City of Middletown is hosting an online information session with Eversource on March 25, 2021 at 6:00pm. The information session will provide residents with guidance on assistance programs that are available to help ease the burden of energy bills. Mayor Florsheim commented, “As the pandemic continues to impact residents of Middletown financially and in unprecedented ways, many are finding it difficult to keep up with routine expenses. It can be hard and humbling to accept help at times, but you do not need to struggle alone. I in no way intend to dismiss the extreme hardships felt by many. However, I want to make sure everyone is aware of the numerous assistance programs available during this time.” For residents who are experiencing difficulty paying energy bills, Eversource has programs and payment plans available to assist customers. All customers, regardless of financial status, can enroll in the COVID-19 payment plan to pay a past-due balance over a period of up to 24 months.
