City of Middletown Middletown Veterans’ Park Pool & Splash Pad Building Committee SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES Wednesday, November 9, 2022 Time: 6:00 PM 1. Chairman opens meeting at 6:30 PM. 2. Minutes – None 3. Public Comment on Agenda Items- None 4. Correspondence – None 5. New Business a. Project update- Director Holden stated that they are making great progress. A new utility pole was going in. Sidewalks are taking shape. Hindrin Saeed shared some project pictures showing the latest progression. Director Lechowicz stated that the pool that is being built is essential 2 pools. One area is designated for laps and the other section is very accessible. Excavation work has begun for the splash pad. b. C.J. Fucci Invoice- $787,941.61- Director Holden has reviewed this invoice and he recommends it for payment. This was for work completed through October. A motion was made to approve the invoice by Councilman Pessina and seconded by Councilman Marino. There was no objection and the motion passed unanimously. c. C.J. Fucci Change Order- $48,088.34- Director Holden stated that this is billed for a surge tank and piping modifications. He has reviewed and recommends it for approval. Councilman Marino made a motion to approve and Councilman Pessina seconded the motion. There was no objection and the motion passed unanimously. d. SLR Invoice-$9,165.00. This invoice is the construction administration portion of the project. Director Holden reviewed this invoice and recommends it for approval. Councilman Pessina made a motion to approve and Councilman Marino seconded the motion. There was no objection and the motion passed unanimously. e. SLR Invoice- $27,756.14. This invoice is for construction inspection of the project. Councilman Pessina made a motion to approve and Councilman Marino seconded the motion. There was no objection and the motion passed unanimously. f. Meeting Schedule- The meeting schedule was reviewed. Councilman Pessina made a motion to approve and Councilman Marino seconded the motion. There was no objection and the motion passed unanimously. 6. Old Business- None 7.
