City of Middletown Middletown Veterans’ Park Pool & Splash Pad Building Committee MEETING MINUTES Wednesday, April 12, 2023 Time: 6:00 PM Members Present: Councilman Gene Nocera Councilman Ed McKeon Councilman Mike Marino Councilman Phil Pessina Councilman Darnell Ford Anthony Jaskot, Committee Member Deborah Petruzzello, Committee Member Staff Present: Christopher M. Holden, P.E., Director of Public Works Others Present: Hindrin Saeed- SLR 1. Chairman opens meeting at 6:02 PM. 2. Minutes – Councilman Pessina made a motion to approve the minutes dated March 8, 2023. Councilman McKeon seconded the motion. There was no objection and the motion passed. 3. Public Comment on Agenda Items- None 4. Correspondence – None 5. New Business a. Project update- Hindrin Saeed shared photos of the stairway access to the park and the work that was done for the pool. Tile is starting to go down in the pool for the lap lanes. The new building additional roofing is complete, as well as plumbing and electrical. Finish work is being done on the inside of the building. Some of the electrical components needed for the building are delayed. Work is being done on the splash pad. Conduit is being run and the storage tank is being installed. b. C.J. Fucci Invoice- $678,571.62- Director Holden reviewed this invoice and recommends it for approval. Councilman McKeon made a motion to approve the invoice. Councilman Pessina seconded the motion. It passed unanimously. c. SLR Invoices- $57,576.74. This is for inspection services and testing of materials on site. Director Holden reviewed this invoice and recommends it for approval. Councilman Pessina made a motion to approve the invoice. Councilman McKeon seconded the motion. It passed unanimously. 6. Old Business- None 7. Other- None The meeting adjourned at 6:22 PM
