MINUTES WEBEX REGULAR MEETING WATER POLLUTION CONTROL AUTHORITY July 11, 2024 PRESENT: Director, Joseph Fazzino Deputy Director, Theresa Spalletta Chief Engineer, Brian Robillard Chairman, Brian Gartner Vice Chairman, Philip Pessina Councilmatic Representative, Eugene Nocera Councilmatic Representative, Linda Salafia Commissioner, Jack Pieper I. Open Meeting (6:38pm) 1. Public Hearing No one from the public was present so the public hearing portion of the meeting was closed. II. Reports, Minutes and Correspondence 1. Minutes of Regular Meeting of June 6, 2024 A motion was made by Vice Chairman Pessina and seconded by Commissioner Pieper to approve the Minutes for the Regular Meeting of June 6, 2024. Motion was approved unanimously. 2. CMOM Annual Report - 2024 This was for informational purposes only. III. Transfers/Fund Updates 1. Monthly Fund Balance Report – June This report was for informational purposes only. 2. Income/Consumption Report This report was for informational purpose only. 3. Transfers There were no transfers at this time. The WPCA would like an update at the next regular scheduled meeting. 4. Delinquent Report There were no delinquent reports at this time. IV. Old Business 1. Department Operational Updates Deputy Director Spalletta handed out the Department Operational Report for all to review. She went over the report in greater detail. Her report was for informational purposes only. V. New Business 1. Good Will Adjustment – Suski – 166 Pearl Street A motion was made by Vice Chairman Pessina and seconded by Councilmatic Representative Nocera to approve the good will adjustment in the amount of $1,299.09. Motion was approved unanimously. 2 2. Memo 2024 Bond Director Fazzino explained reviewed the memo and described the project that are included in the proposed bond. The WPCA discussed the need for this funding but wanted to be sure we don’t significantly increase rates. A motion was made by Chairman Gartner and seconded by Councilmatic Representative Nocera to approve and endorse the 2024 Future Project Bonding and forward it to the Mayor’s office for further discussions. Motion was approved unanimously. VI. Staff Reports 1. Engineering Reports – Update Chief Engineer Robillard reviewed his engineering report which summarized projects and work completed by the Engineering Department in June. VII. Executive Session There was no Executive Session. A motion was made by Vice Chairman Pessina and seconded by Chairman Gartner to cancel the WPCA’s August meeting. Motion was approved unanimously. VIII. Adjournment A motion was made by Councilmatic Representative Nocera and seconded by Vice Chairman Pessina to adjourn the meeting. The motion was approved unanimously.
