MIDDLETOWN TOWN COUNCIL
MEETING MINUTES
The Middletown Town Council held a meeting on February 4th 2025.
The council approved the minutes from the January 21st meeting.
Claims 40682 – 40751 totaling 239,746.86 were approved
1. Jill Johnson requested clarification on the order to demolish the house at 907
Locust.
2. Dan Fountain motioned and Dave Wagner seconded approving Ordinance 2024-
10, which allows chickens in town, on its third and final reading. Motion carried 5-
0.
3. On the BFS lead water survey, we have spent 750.00 so far. BFS does not plan to
invoice anymore until the water pits are cleaned and they can see the pipes in the
pit better.
4. Dan Fountain motioned and Gary Kendall seconded buying a new salt spreader
from Truck Pro for 10,025.00. Motion carried 5-0.
5. Dan Fountain motioned and Jake Smith seconded approving Robert Chance
request to have sick and personal time bought out. A roll call vote was requested.
Jake Smith voted yes
Dan Fountain voted yes
Dave Wagner voted no
Teresa Dennis voted no
Gary Kendall voted no.
6. Gary Kendall motioned and Dan Fountain seconded to charge the resident at 886
High the minimum for water and 45.00 for sewer each month until Carl Spears
gets new meters set in the yard of the residence. Motion carried 5-0.
7. The consent to assignment of services from Big B to Rumpke for trash service was
signed by Dave Wagner.
8. The IMPA contract for requested services was signed by Dave Wagner
There being nothing further brought before the council, the meeting was adjourned.
