VILLAGE OF MILLBROOK- BOARD OF TRUSTEES BUSINESS MEETING MILLBROOK FIREHOUSE – 20 FRONT STREET DATE: DATE: 03/12/2025 01/08/2025 TIME: 6: 00 PM FACILITATOR: BOARD FACILITATOR: BOARDOF OFTRUSTEES TRUSTEES IN ATTENDANCE OPENING OF MEETING VIDEO MEETING & PRESENTATION Mayor Doro, Deputy Mayor Murphy, Trustee Bucklin, Mayor Doro opened the MEETING VIDEO Trustee Mawson, Trustee Socci, FD Chief Boscardin, meeting with the Pledge Assistant Chief Granger, FD President Rochfort, Scott of Allegiance PRESENTATION Osborn (VRI), Police Chief Dworkin, Attorney Mackey and Clerk Witt ADMINISTRATIVE BUSINESS Minutes Approval: Motion made by Deputy Mayor Murphy to accept the minutes of February and 2.26 budget meeting, seconded by Trustee Mawson and all were in favor. Voucher Approval: Motion made by Mayor Doro to accept the Voucher fund totals as presented, seconded by Deputy Mayor Murphy and all were in favor (attached in presentation). Agenda Items: Resignation of Matt Taney (PD): Motion made by Mayor Doro, seconded by Deputy Mayor Murphy to accept the resignation of Officer Taney and all were in favor. LOSAP Overview- Ted Bownas (Millbrook FD). Handbag Collection- Clerk Witt and Chief Dworkin. DEPARTMENTAL REPORTS Fire & Rescue – Chief Boscardin read from the attached monthly report. FD President Rochfort announced the Fireman’s Carnival is back and will be held in the field behind St. Joseph’s school- July 9-12 with parade on 7/12. Police – Chief Dworkin read from attached monthly report. Mayor Doro asked Chief D about the ticket process regarding fines and revenues collected for the Village. Chief D says he had spoken with the court clerk and in comparison to other municipalities, our fines are very low. Chief D says he will do an analysis and make recommendations to the board on fines. Attorney Mackey to look into how the Town Court processes tickets. Police Policies: Chief D to submit the table of contents to the Board to select ten or so policies to review. Complete Police Policy to be approved and adopted at a future meeting. Highway –Deputy Mayor Murphy (HWY liaison) read highlights from the attached monthly Highway report. CDBG Update: CDBG Update: Mayor Doro said the complete application had been submitted to DC. Water & Sewer – S. Osborn: read from attached monthly reports. Mayor Doro to reach out to AAR Auctions about selling the camera trailer. Treasurer & Building Dept – Clerk Witt: read from attached monthly reports. OLD BUSINESS: None. NEW BUSINESS: Shade Tree Commission- Trustee Bucklin: Announced Arbor Day Ceremony will be last Friday in April with a tree planting at Elm Drive at 10 AM. Dutchess County Aquifer Law- Trustee Mawson: Did an overview of the attached law. EXECUTIVE SESSION AND ADJOURNMENT Motion made by Mayor Doro to enter into executive session at 7:08 pm to discuss personnel and litigation, seconded by Deputy Mayor Murphy and all were in favor. No motions were made during executive session. Motion to end executive session and adjourn the meeting at 7:27 pm was made by Mayor Doro, seconded by Trustee Mawson and all were in favor.
