Village of Millbrook Planning Board 35 Merritt Avenue Millbrook, NY 12545 Minutes of the August 11, 2025 meeting Members Present: Chair Frank Redl Joe Forte Kay Vanderlyn Genevieve Glasson Members Absent: Doug Dundas _____________________________________________________________________________________ Chair Frank Redl called the meeting to order at 6 pm. Chair Frank Redl made a motion to accept the July 14, 2025 meeting minutes second by Dundas. All members present Aye motion passes 4-0. The only item on the agenda was to introduce Phase 2 of Bennett Park. Present for the applicant was Rich Rennia and Ryan Manning, project landscape architect. Board members were reminded that Phase 1 was approved in January 2024. Phase 2, this application, was to approve a wood trail to connect the park to Franklin Avenue. Rennia described the project and walked the board members through the details of the wood trail and its composition. No impervious surface is planned. The public will be able to enter the trail on Franklin Avenue and travel to the park over an 8’ wide gravel/stone dust packed trail which will lead to a circular path which will have wood chips as its base. There is no lighting planned. DEC approval will be required for the stream crossings. There will be 6 phases of the park planned. The next phase that will come down the line is the visitor center. The chair moved to accept the application and schedule a public hearing for September 8, 2025. The motion was seconded by Genevieve Glasson. All present voted in favor of the motion and was passed. Chair Frank Redl made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 6:50 pm seconded by Member Forte. Meeting adjourned.
