Pereira wished residents a happy new year, reminded residents to put garbage out in the morning, not the night before, especially on windy days, and wished Trustee Donna M. Solosky a happy birthday. Mayor Pereira announced that 2025 events and concerts are already being organized, reminded residents to check www.mineolaevents.com and to sign up for text/email reminders, congratulated Mineola High School senior Fatimah Badoolah who is a semifinalist in the 2025 Regeneron Science Talent Search, and extended condolences to Village Clerk Bryan L. Rivera and his family on the loss of his mother. 7 Deputy Mayor Janine Sartori wished residents a happy new year, wished Trustee Donna M. Solosky a happy birthday, announced that the 2025 sanitation newsletter was mailed to all residents in December and if they did not receive it they can pick one up at Village Hall, and announced that the Mineola Volunteer Ambulance Corps has a new telephone number which is 516-226-MVAC (6822). Trustee Paul S. Cusato wished residents a happy new year, congratulated Mayor Paul A. Pereira for being recognized by the Rotary Club of Mineola-Garden City as a 2024 Community Service Award recipient, thanked members of the Mineola Fire Department for their commit- ment, dedication and service to the community during the holiday season where Operation Santa visited over 200 homes, as well as attended the Morgan Parc tree lighting, the Village tree lighting, a Mineola school district celebration and a Nassau County holiday event, con- gratulated Company 1 Ex-Chief Jack Fernandes on 50 years of service with the Mineola Fire Department, and announced that the Mineola Junior Fire Department’s annual pasta dinner will be held on Sunday, March 9, 12 noon to 5:00 PM at the Village Hall Community Center. Trustee Jeffrey M. Clark wished residents a happy new year, thanked Mineola Fire Depart- ment members on an outstanding Operation Santa season, and thanked Village staff and every- one involved in making the tree lighting ceremony and the holiday festival so successful. Trustee Donna M. Solosky wished residents a happy new year, discussed her family’s experi- ence with Operation Santa, thanked Gary Mazur and Mineola Fire Department members for visiting so many Mineola residences and conveyed her best to the firefighters battling the Los Angeles fires.
