Danny Clark, Mayor Present Tim Freeman Absent Keith Burrows Present Mo May-Grimm Present Alex Ramshur Present Jeff Meyer Present Tom Johnston Present Others Present: Administrator Honer, Clerk-Treasurer Skelding, John Spady APPROVAL OF MINUTES – JANUARY 15, 2026 MEETING Motion (Burrows/Ramshur) to approve October 10, 2025, minutes. Motion carried, all voting aye (6- 0). CONSIDERATION OF A CERTIFIED SURVEY MAP FOR 182, 184, AND 186 ANTOINE STREET Administrator Honer stated that this CSM should have been included with the rezone to a PUD. The change on this CSM is the change in lot lines. The preliminary CSM doesn’t have the dimension changes of the lots. The final CSM shows the final approved lot lines. Motion (Ramshur/May-Grimm) to recommend Council approval of a Certified Survey Map for 182, 184, and 186 Antoine Street. Motion carried, all voting aye (6-0). DISCUSSION OF SHORT-TERM RENTAL REGULATION Administrator Honer stated that this topic has come up often over the past three years. A council member has made a request to start this conversation. Honer provided the Commission with information on what the state law says. The city cannot ban rentals of 7-consecutive days or longer, or limit total rental days to fewer than 180 days per year. The city can regulate other aspects of short-term rentals. The commission discussed ways to attempt to find all short-term rentals in the city. Some commissioners worry about having too many short-term rentals and not enough affordable housing. Honer stated that there are approximately 31 short-term rentals in the city. He stated that an Airbnb that is regularly rented and well-reviewed is an asset to the city. Mayor Clark does not think short-term rentals are something to be concerned about at this time. Most commissioners agree. Commissioner May-Grimm would like to find a way to potentially incentivize people to have properties available as a long-term rental instead of a short-term rental. Overall, commissioners decided this is not something that is worth looking further into at this point in time. ADJOURN Motion (Burrows/Meyer) to adjourn at 6:34 pm.
