CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order at 9:00 a.m. by Mr. Youngblood.
BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT: Virgil Youngblood (Chairman) , Myra Johnson, Jonathon Rusher, Kenneth Drew,

MINUTES: The minutes of the September 21 11, 2017, Board of Adjustment meeting were approved with all in
favor, at 9:00 a.m.

Structures to be considered for condemnation :
PUBLIC HEARING ON BSC CASE 2017-05 Consider possible condemnation of a substandard
structure(s) owned by Elizabeth Sanders, 216 N.W. 1st St. , Lynch Addition, Block 9, Lot D of 14 (50x100)
(including all dilapidated structures), Mineral Wells, Palo Pinto County, Texas.
A publ ic hearing opened at 9:00 a.m. Mr. Youngblood explained that BSC Case 2017-5 had been removed from
the list to be considered for condemnation.
PUBLIC HEARING ON BSC CASE 2017-10 Consider possible condemnation of a substandard structure(s)
owned by Theodore Solis, 705 S.W. 15th St. , Lawn Terrace Addition, Block 53, Lots 13-15 (including all dilapidated
structures), Mineral Wells, Palo Pinto County, Texas.
A public hearing opened at 9:01 a.m. Mrs. Solis was present for the meeting. The Commission members were
provided pictures and an inspection report of the structure. Mrs. Solis spoke, stating that Mr. Solis would like to
keep the home because it was his first home. Mr. Stubblefield explained that there were major foundation issues,
roof damage, broken windows, water damaged walls, plumbing and electrical were damaged, no HVAC, trash was
piled up inside the home and the structure was over 50% delapitaded. Mr. Youngblood read aloud the staff
recommendation, which was condemnation. The request for condemnation was approved with all in favor, at 9:17
a.m.
PUBLIC HEARING ON BSC CASE 2017-11 Consider possible condemnation of a substandard structure(s)
owned Larry B. Davis and Frederick Earl Davis, 516 S.W. 17th St., Lawn Place #2, Block 16, Lots 3 & W10 ft of 4
(including all dilapidated structures), Mineral Wells, Palo Pinto County, Texas.
A public hearing opened at 9:17 a.m. No one representing the owner was present for the meeting. The
Commission members were provided pictures and an inspection report of the structure. Mr. Youngblood read
aloud the staff recommendation, which was condemnation. The request for condemnation was approved with all in
favor, at 9:17 a.m.
PUBLIC HEARING ON BSC CASE 2017-12 Consider possible condemnation of a substandard structure(s)
owned by Ted Snider Estate/Caroline Jordan, 515 N.W. 4th St., Wiggins Addition, Block 4, Lot W/2 F of 2 (50x100)
(including all dilapidated structures), Mineral Wells, Palo Pinto County, Texas.
A public hearing opened at 9:18 a.m. No one representing the owner was present for the meeting. The
Commission members were provided pictures and an inspection report of the structure. Mr. Youngblood read
aloud the staff recommendation, which was condemnation. The request for condemnation was approved with all in
favor, at 9:19 a.m.
PUBLIC HEARING ON BSC CASE 2017-15 Consider possible condemnation of a substandard structure(s)
owned by Estate of Juanita Sparks, 2002 N. Oak, S&B North Addition, Block 47, Lot SW Cor 78x100 Lot B
(including all dilapidated structures), Mineral Wells, Palo Pinto County, Texas.
A public hearing opened at 9:19 a.m. Mr. Youngblood explained that SSC Case 2017-15 had been removed from

ADJOURNMENT: There was no further business. The meeting was adjourned at 9:20
