MINUTES REGULAR BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT AND siJILDING AND STANDARDS COMMISSION MEETING THURSDAY, January 17, 2019 STEVE PURDUE FIRE TRAINING CENTER, 316 S. OAK AVE, MINERAL WELLS, TEXAS BOARD MEMBERS BOARD ALTERNATES Virgil Youngblood, Chairman Lawrence Kaufman Myra Johnson " Paul Schmidtke Jonathan Rusher Barry Campbell Matt Butcher Kenneth Drew CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was opened at 9:00 a.m . by Mr. Youngblood calling for the nominations of Chairman and Vice Chairman. Mrs. Johnson made a motion, nominating Mr. Youngblood to continue as Chairman, Seconded by Mr. Rusher. Motion passed with all in favor at 9:00 a.m. Mr. Campbell recommended leaving Mrs. Johnson as Vice- Chairwoman, with no additional nomination suggestions. The Commission approved Mrs. Johnson to continue as Vice- Chairwoman, with all in favor, at 9:01 a.m. BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT: Virgil Youngblood (Chairman), Myra Johnson, Jonathon Rusher, Kenneth Drew. BOARD ALTERNATES PRESENT: Lawrence Kaufman , Paul Schmidtke, Barry Campbell. STAFF MEMBERS PRESENT: Tony Stubblefield-Building Official, Stephanie Thomas - Interim BOA/BSC Secretary MINUTES - The minutes of the November 15, 2018, Board of Adjustment meeting were approved with all in favor, at 9:01 a. m. • I PUBLIC HEARINGS PUBLIC HEARING ON BSC CASE 2016-17 Consider possible removal of condemnation order of a substandard structure, owned by Denise Duncan, located at 1202 North Oak Ave, also known as Lots B&C, Block 14, of the Wiggins Addition, in Mineral Wells, Texas. A public hearing opened at 9:01 a.m . Mrs. Duncan was present for the meeting, however she did not speak. Mr. Youngblood read aloud the staff recommendations, which stated that based on the documentation, supplied by the owner, to bring property into code compliance, the City of Mineral Wells Inspections Department recommends removal of condemnation order. The Commission agreed to grant the request for the removal of condemnation order, with all in favor, at 9:02 a.m. ADJOURNMENT: There was no further business.
