Miller, Olson, Seymour, Withus. nays: none OTHER BUSINESS Alderman Seymour asked the Mayor to report on the status of the City Manager search. Mayor Zimbelman commented that the first meeting was scheduled for Tuesday, January 14th, at which time the committee was hoping to narrow the applicant pool down to ten individuals. Upon questioning by Alderman Hatlelid, the City Engineer updated the Council on the status of 6th St. Underpass project. He stated this roadway was scheduled to be opened this week with only north/south traffic. Electrical operations for the project are scheduled to be completed as of January 14th ; he would be meeting with Capriati Construction to discuss snow removal and with the Public Works Director to coordinate the placement of sand in the roadway. The City Engineer also briefed the Council on the upcoming Broadway bridge improvement project. He stated a lot of demolition of this project could begin before the spring thaw. This project could possibly begin as early as March, at which time one side of the bridge would be closed to traffic, with construction happening throughout the entire construction season.
