Fire Station 5 Opening Friday, August 18, 2023 at 9:00 AM Fire Station 5 (2611 4th Ave NW) Any person needing special accommodation for the meeting is requested to notify the City Clerk’s office at 857-4752. A quorum of the City Council was able to attend the Fire Station 5 Ribbon Cutting portion of the day. In attendance was Mayor Ross, Alderman Jantzer, Alderwoman Olson, Alderman Burlingame and Alderman Podrygula. The ribbon cutting began at 9:00 am with comments from Mayor Ross, EAPC, Harold Stewart, and Chief Kronschnabel. MACEDC members were also present for the ribbon cutting. At 2:00 pm Fire Station 5 hosted the Graduation and Promotion Ceremony. In attendance was Mayor Ross and Alderman Podrygula. The program included speeches from:  Mayor Ross  City Manager, Harold Stewart  Chief Kelli Kronschnabel The Airport Director, Jennifer Eckman, presented the ARFF Valor Award. Chief Kronschnabel presented the pinning and oaths for the promotional ceremony to the 2023 Recruitment Class Firefighters, Senior Firefighters, and Captains.
