MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING CITY OF MISSION HILLS, KANSAS February 17, 2022 The City Council of the City of Mission Hills, Kansas held a special meeting on February 17, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. PRESIDING: Councilpersons Bill Bruning (via phone) PRESENT: Barbara Nelson, Braden Perry, Eden Thorne (all via phone) ABSENT: Mayor David W. Dickey and Andy Weed ALSO PRESENT: Jennifer Lee, City Administrator; Justin Carroll, Assistant City Administrator; Meghan Woolbright, City Clerk; Anna Krstulic, City Attorney (all via phone) VISITORS: None Council President Bruning called the meeting to order at 12:08 p.m. Ms. Krstulic noted the Council previously approved Resolution No. 2022-G at the regular Council meeting on February 14, 2022 to schedule a public hearing to determine if the structure located at 2517 W. 68th St should be condemned and ordered repaired of demolished. Due to the publication requirements for this matter, the date previously identified for a public hearing in Resolution No. 2022-G must be amended. Councilperson Bruning asked if there was motion to rescind the motion made at the February 14, 2022 regular Council meeting to set a hearing date for 2517 W. 68th Street on March 24, 2022. Councilperson Nelson moved to rescind the motion made at the February 14, 2022 to set a hearing date for 2517 W. 68th Street on March 24, 2022. Councilperson Perry seconded. Approved 4-0. Councilperson Bruning asked if there was a motion to set a public hearing date for 2517 W. 68th Street on April 1, 2022. Councilperson Nelson moved to approve a motion to set a public hearing date for 2517 W. 68th Street on April 1, 2022. Councilperson Perry seconded. Approved 4-0.
