MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING CITY OF MISSION HILLS, KANSAS September 26, 2024 The City Council of the City of Mission Hills, Kansas held a meeting on September 26, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. PRESIDING: Mayor David W. Dickey (via Zoom) PRESENT: Councilpersons Bill Bruning, Gregg Davidson, Barbara Nelson, Eden Thorne, Andy Weed ABSENT: None ALSO PRESENT: Jennifer Lee, City Administrator; Meghan Woolbright, Assistant to the City Administrator; Jason Nickles, City Clerk; Anna Krstulic, City Attorney; VISITORS: David Arteberry, Financial Advisor with Stifel; Tyler Ellsworth, Bond Counsel with Kutak Rock, LLP; CALL TO ORDER Mayor Dickey calls the meeting to order at 12:00 p.m. CONSENT AGENDA A. Resolution No. 2024 – V: Agreement with Prairie Village for Mission Road CARS Project Councilperson Barbara moved to approve Resolution No. 2024 – V: Agreement with Prairie Village for Mission Road CARS Project. Councilperson Bruning seconded. Approved 5-0. NEW BUSINESS A. Executive Session – Potential Acquisition of Real Property Councilperson Weed moves to enter an executive session, stating “I move that the City Council recess into executive session for preliminary discussion for the potential acquisition of real property for public use, pursuant to K.S.A 75-4319(b)(6). The Executive session will include the City Administrator, Assistant to the City Administrator, City Clerk, City Attorney, Financial Advisor and Bond Counsel. The meeting will resume in the City Council chamber at 12:30 p.m.” Councilperson Bruning seconded. Approved 5-0. The Council reconvened in open session at 12:30 p.m. Councilperson Weed stated that no binding action was taken during the executive session. Councilperson Weed moves to enter an executive session, stating “I move that the City Council recess into executive session for preliminary discussion for the potential acquisition of real 1 property for public use, pursuant to K.S.A 75-4319(b)(6). The Executive session will include the City Administrator, Assistant to the City Administrator, City Clerk, City Attorney, Financial Advisor and Bond Counsel. The meeting will resume in the City Council chamber at 12:50 p.m.” Councilperson Bruning seconded. Approved 5-0. The Council reconvened in open session at 12:50 p.m. Councilperson Weed stated that no binding action was taken during the executive session.
