APPEALS HEARING BOARD MEETING MINUTES CITY OF MONTEREY (ZOOM teleconference) Monday, April 5, 2021 11:00 AM MONTEREY, CALIFORNIA Board members Present: Hawkins, Millich, Glenzer Absent: Yaqub (Alternate) Board Staff Assistant City Attorney Karin Salameh and Clerk Alicia Salas Present: Other Staff None Present: CALL TO ORDER Chair Hawkins call the meeting order at 11:01 am. PUBLIC COMMENTS None. PUBLIC HEARING 1. Adopt Written Decision Following Hearing on the Appeal by the Tanglewood HOA of Forester's Decision to Deny Application for Removal of One Monterey Pine at 250 Forest Ridge Road (Exempt from CEQA Under Section 15304, Minor Alterations to Land) Assistant City Attorney Karin Salameh said this hearing is to adopt the written Decision from the prior meeting when the Board had decided to grant the appeal. She said she drafted the Decision based on the discussion, but the Board can modify the Decision as they see fit. Public Comments None. Board member Glenzer made a motion to accept the drafted Decision. Board member Millich seconds the motion. The motion carried by the following vote, which was conducted by roll call: AYES: 3 COMMISSIONERS: Hawkins, Millich, Glenzer NOES: 0 COMMISSIONERS: None ABSENT: 0 COMMISSIONERS: None ABSTAIN: 0 COMMISSIONERS: None RECUSED: 0 COMMISSIONERS: None 2. Adopt Written Decision Following Hearing on the Appeal by Chinyere Ogbonna of the City Forester's Decision to Deny Application for Removal of One California Pepper Tree at 514 Prescott Avenue (Exempt from CEQA Under Section 15304, Minor Alterations to Land)) Public Comments None. Appeals Hearing Board April 5, 2021 Minutes Board member Millich made a motion to accept the drafted Decision. Board member Glenzer second the motion. The motion carried by the following vote, which was conducted by roll call: AYES: 3 COMMISSIONERS: Hawkins, Glenzer, Millich NOES: 0 COMMISSIONERS: None ABSENT: 0 COMMISSIONERS: None ABSTAIN: 0 COMMISSIONERS: None RECUSED: 0 COMMISSIONERS: None BOARD MEMBER COMMENTS None.
