1. Tour of City of Monterey Public Art
Action: The Colton Hall Museum and Cultural Arts Commission took a tour of City of
Monterey public art.
The Colton Hall Museum and Cultural Arts Commission visited the following sites to view public
artwork:
El Estero Park: “Taking Flight – Blue Heron Sculpture” & “Anza Walk – Granite
Boulders”
Monterey Conference Center: “Portolá Statue” & “Monterey Mural”
San Carlos Beach Park: “Ship Anchor Sites” & “Diver’s Memorial”
McAbee Beach: “Chinese Fishermen Mural”
Cannery Row: “Steinbeck Memorial Bust” & “Kalisa Moore Statue”
Lower Presidio Historic Park: “Serra Cross Monument,” “Serra Monument,”
“Sloat Monument” & “Bouchard Memorial Monument”
Colton Hall Lawn: “Mother Grizzly Bear and Two Cubs”
Friendly Plaza: “Bertold Monument”
