This meeting was held with a combination of in-person and teleconference attendance, pursuant
to the Ralph M. Brown Act, Calif. Government Code section 54953(e)(1)(C) and the Council's
resolution authorizing teleconference attendance at public meetings.
CALL TO ORDER
Chair Evans called the meeting to order at 4:01 p.m.

by the following vote, the Museums and Cultural Arts Commission approved the Consent

Action: Received and discussed
Library & Museums Director Edwards updated the Commission on recent activities.
There was no public comment on the matter.
3. Receive Museums and Cultural Arts Division Activity Report (Not a project under CEQA Article
20, Section 15378 and under General Rule Article 5, Section 15061)
Action: Received and discussed
Artifacts Specialist Leininger reviewed the October activity report.
There was no public comment on the matter.
PUBLIC APPEARANCE
4. Select Ad-Hoc Subcommittee for Extended Path of History Project (Not a project under CEQA
per Article 20, Section 15378 and under General Rule Article 5, Section 15061)
Action: Received, discussed, and appointed
Edwards reviewed the Path of History project. Chair Evans appointed Thomas, Wojtkowski,
and himself to the Path of History ad hoc subcommittee.
COMMISSIONER COMMENTS
Peake thanked fellow Commissioners for the condolence card.
Castagna asked about the challenge of standing committees versus ad hoc committees. He
commented that the MC Weekly has an article about the Pat Hathaway collection.
Wojtkowski announced that MMHA is having a mixer at Casa Serrano this Sunday afternoon.
Thomas announced new walking tours he is leading.
Sovereign expressed sympathy for the recent passing of Harriet Lynn.

COMMISSIONER COMMENTS
COMMISSIONERS may ask a question for clarification, make a brief announcement or
make a brief report on his or her activities. In addition, a Commissioner may provide a
referral to staff or other resources for factual information, request staff to report back to
the body at a subsequent meeting concerning any City matter, or direct staff to place a
