CALL TO ORDER
Mr. Krebs called the meeting to order at 2:00 pm and the van tour departed for the first
location.
ROLL CALL
Ms. Huerta called the role with ten (10) neighborhoods represented and Aguajito Oaks,
Alta Mesa, Casanova Oak Knoll, Del Monte Grove-Laguna Grande and Glenwood
absent.
PUBLIC COMMENTS
Mr. Krebs opened public comments for items not on the agenda. Seeing none, Mr. Krebs
closed public comments.

PUBLIC APPEARANCE
1. NIP Committee Van Tour of Selected Projects for FY 2019/20 (Not a project under CEQA
Article 20, Section 15378 and under General Rule Article 5, Section 15061)
Action: Conducted van tour of projects DMB-5, VDM-5, CW-45, FF-1, FF-3, DF-1,
CW-2, MV-9, MV-4, CW-21, CW-28, CW-26, NM-4, NM-9, NM-2; Discussed.
Mr. and Mrs. Hatori were in attendance at VDM-5 and provided signatures of support and
spoke in support of the project.
John Wilkes, Park Attendant at Veterans Park, was in attendance at CW-28 and spoke in
support of the project.
Jorge, a high school student playing at the Veteran’s Park basketball court, spoke in
support of CW-28.

Marietta Favalora was in attendance at NM-2 and spoke in opposition of the project.

Chuck Hurd was in attendance at NM-2 and spoke in opposition of the project.
Judy Askew was in attendance at NM-2 and spoke in opposition of the project.
Giuseppe Aiello was in attendance at NM-2 and spoke in opposition of the project.
Mark Askew was in attendance at NM-2 and spoke in opposition of the project.

Program Committee and which is not on the agenda. Any person or group desiring to bring an
item to the attention of the Neighborhood Improvement Program Committee may do so during
Public Comments or by addressing a letter of explanation to: NIP Coordinator, Public Works,
Engineering Division, City Hall, Monterey CA 93940.

public discussion, but that do not require formal noticing. You are welcome to offer your comments
after being recognized by the NIP Staff Coordinator. The Coordinator may limit the time allocated
to each speaker.
