MINUTES ZONING ADMINISTRATOR Thursday, March 3, 2016 4:00 PM MONTEREY CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS MONTEREY, CALIFORNIA CALL TO ORDER Todd Bennett, Senior Associate Planner, serving as the Zoning Administrator, called the Zoning Administrator Meeting to order at 4:00 pm. PUBLIC COMMENTS None. PUBLIC HEARING 1. Consider 351 Fremont Street; Use Permit 15-342 to Allow for the Sale of Alcoholic Beverages (Beer & Wine); Applicant Gary Semling for Stantec Architecture; Owner Jerry Mejia for Chevron SS#9-1060; PC-D Zoning District; Exempt from CEQA Requirements (Article 19, Section 15303, Class 3) ACTION: Adopted Resolution approving Use Permit 15-342 to allow for the sale of alcoholic beverages, subject to Conditions of Approval. 2. Consider 920 Drake Avenue; Permit 16-089 to Allow Uncovered Parking Space in Front Yard Setback; Applicant Allen Robinson of the Sienna Company; Owners Eriksen Digman & Crystal Stromer; R-1-5 Zoning District; Exempt from CEQA Requirements (Article 19, Section 15301 Class 1). ACTION: Approved Permit 16-089 to allow for an uncovered parking space in the front yard setback and for a second driveway to serve the single family dwelling. 3. Consider 899 Lighthouse Avenue; Use Permit 16-060 to Allow for a Long Term Mobile Food Vendor on Private Property; Applicant Danica Alvarado for Tricycle Pizza; Owner Patricia Work, Trustee et al; C-2 Zoning District; Exempt from CEQA Requirements (Article 19, Section 15301, Class 1) ACTION: Due to public comments related to the date of receipt of the public hearing notice, this agenda item was continued to the Zoning Administrator meeting scheduled for March 17, 2016. At this time, the public may speak for a maximum of three minutes on any subject which is within the jurisdiction of the Monterey Zoning Administrator and which is not on the agenda. Any person or group desiring to bring an item to the attention of the Zoning Administrator may do so during Public Comments or by addressing a letter of explanation to the Zoning Administrator, City Hall, Monterey, CA 93940. PUBLIC HEARING PUBLIC HEARINGS are required by law for certain actions. You are welcome to offer your comments after being recognized by the Zoning Administrator. The Zoning Administrator may limit the time allocated to each speaker. Project representation is encouraged. 1. The Zoning Administrator agenda may be reviewed by the public in the Monterey Public Library, in the Planning, Engineering, and Environmental Compliance Division (PEEC), or on the web at www.monterey.org beginning late Friday afternoon prior to the date of the meeting. Members of the public have the right to address the Zoning Administrator on any item on the Agenda. The Zoning Administrator will formally open the floor for public comment on items listed under “Public Hearings.” Information distributed to the Zoning Administrator at the meeting becomes part of the public record. A copy of written material, pictures, etc. should be provided to the Administrator for this purpose. Zoning Administrator decisions may be appealed within ten (10) days from the date of the decision on forms available in the Planning Division during business hours. When the tenth day falls on a weekend or a holiday, the appeal deadline date is the next working day following the holiday or weekend. An appeal fee will apply.
