Meeting Minutes of the Montpelier Conservation Commission May 8, 2014 Attendees: John Fox, Stephanie Olson (Parks/MCC VISTA), Jim Murphy, Chris Hilke, Roy Schiff  Minutes o Approved minutes from April meeting without edits.  Carr Lot (One Taylor) o Public meeting 1 – site walk, idea transfer, group walks o Bring ideas to City Council o Attend meetings  May 21 Lost Nation Theater  June 10 Christ Church  July 16 Bethany Church o Geoff emailed Paul Markowitz about past design charrette to track down ideas o Roy to research bridge project  Berlin Pond o May 27th public comment meeting at Berlin Elementary, 6-8 pm o Pond is public trust water and special spot o Need outreach o Anti-degradation policy in US o Geoff to send links from Warren Kitzmiller o Roy to reach out to Citizen group and businesses  Conservation Fund o Possible project adjacent to park east of older shelter to create longer, quiet trail o East of ballfields o Parcel is north of stump dump o Reform fund committee o Take site walk – Geoff to set up o Steph to make site map o Unanimous vote to consider implementing this project o Geoff to contact VHCB  Last meeting of the session o June site walk and BBQ? (never happened) o Next meeting September o Follow topics over summer  Combined sewer overflows o 6 overflows remains o 2-3 on North Branch o High E.
