Montpelier Energy Advisory Committee Meeting Minutes February 19, 2013 In attendance: Jim Stiles, Tim Shea, Dan Jones, Becky Wigg, Anne Watson, Dan Costin, Luke Rafferty Called to order at 7:00pm in the Police Station Community Room Wendy McArdle talked about the continuing efforts of the Energy Action Network and the Montpelier Renewable Energy Project. There is to be a working group later in the week to discuss the attempts to effectively brand the initiative. The EAN will be attending the Energy Fair. Anne and Becky spoke about progress on planning the Energy Fair. Some tasks were assigned, particularly in the media outreach and day-of areas. A major focus of the fair will have to be collecting success stories for the advertising push towards completing the Energy Challenge. Emphasis was placed on using personal interactions over the next two weeks to try and get people out to the fair. Dan Jones spoke briefly about some issues of statewide relevance, the Utility Siting Commission, Weatherization Tax and Windmill placement. There was also brief mention of the potential for GoVermont to begin testing a smart jitney project in Montpelier. GoVermont will also be tabling at the Energy Fair. Jim and Tim will be submitting letters to the appropriate city office to be officially appointed to MEAC. Meeting ended at 8:20pm
