Attendees: Tim Shea, Dan Costin, Becky Wigg, Anne Watson, Kate Stephenson, Barbara, Geoff, Ken

Approval of minutes, agenda
1) Community Solar Group – meeting Thursday to align investors & lawndowners to make
community project
2) Municipal Projects
a. Met with Tom (DPW), Chris, Kurt, Tim to look at waste facilities & Kaizan – was a
positive meeting
b. New low-hanging fruit = water plant. Tim/Kurt are arranging a walk through
c. Kaizan approach brings in a bunch of people with different perspectives. Hope to have
Kaizan approach in January at water plant
d. Question brought up about write-up on improvements being public?
e. CIP investment that would give savings is of interest to council, potentially
3) Transportation Subcommittee
a. Shared TAC meeting conclusions (ATF and the “flow” of TAC)
b. Liason at CarShare? Somewhat yes - Dan C’s girlfriend!
c. Side note: National Life ran out of parking for the first time? Today
d. Organize a meeting of Transportation Subcommittee
4) Outreach/Public Engagement Subcommittee
a. Blog branding revamped
b. Pop-up in SunCommon store through Dec. 23
c. Ideas for slides?? And where else the presentation could go (such as City Hall, TD Bank
Window)
d. Scott can commit to helping with SunCommon slides as part of Outreach Committee
e. Communications Plan: submit to Paul a plan about $10,000 on how to use on
communications plan à must be targeted on electrical consumption with regards to
Georgetown Prize
f. Energy Committee ($) Balance?? Check with Sandra Gallup
g. Goal for Communications Plan: Tuesday Dec 22nd – send to Paul
h. Solar Communications: reframe dialogue on successes of solar à into media
5) Electrical Resistance
a. Condo owners
b. Barbara’s sending out brochure
c. Tim: can get condo names
d. Scott: ORE women who lives in condo who’s putting in geothermal at National Life
condo – will get more info
6) Divestment
a. Council approved road map for ESG (Environmental Social Governance) Divestment
from fossil fuels for City – being consistent with Net Zero policies??
b. Scott – will pull City Council notes from other cities that have divested
7) Subcommittee Structure
a. How are they related to Georgetown goals
b. Referring to Efficiency VT Initiative for single/multi-family electrical usage
8) Ken: business leadership be umbrellas for leading initiative for clean energy for State (modeled
after Denmark “Project Zero”)
9) Planning Commission – finished revisions to zoning ordinance
a. New subdivisions would meet stretch energy code & conditional use
b. New solar citing/subdivisions: buildings designed to hold solar panels
10) Survey to solar providers (Anne Watson)
a. From survey – net metering program is being drafted: public comment is open
b. Other news: school project didn’t get into the cute due to legal issues
c. Geoff – will follow up about solar
