Montpelier Housing Authority Regular Meeting February 27, 2023 The meeting was called to order at 6:00 pm by Chairman Larson with Commissioner Hannon, Schultheis and Zern present. Commissioner Stevens-Favorite was absent. Agenda Item II - Approval of Agenda The agenda was approved with no changes. Agenda Item III – Public Participation There was no public participation. Agenda Item IV- Approval of Minutes Commissioner Zern moved that the minutes of the November 15, 2022 meeting be accepted as written. Commissioner Hannon seconded the motion and it passed as unanimously. Agenda Item V – Review of Vouchers, Bank Statements and Financial Reports Mrs. Troiano discussed the December financial statements and made available the October and November financials. She noted that the income was $7,000.00 higher than budgeted. Most expenses are within budget with the exception of extraordinary maintenance. The overage includes costs associated with restoring hot water to all apartments after the new hot water heater was installed and unanticipated elevator repairs. We have 119 Section 8 vouchers under lease as of February 1. We are currently issuing vouchers, but there are very few vacancies in Montpelier. Agenda Item VI- Executive Directors Report In addition to the written report, Mrs. Troiano provided an update on the sale of Lane Shops. Agenda Item VII- Discussion and Action FY22 Audit Mrs. Troiano presented the 2022 Audit. The audit has been forwarded to the Mayor (City Council President) and HUD as required. There were no findings or recommendations. After a short discussion Commissioner Zern moved that the audit be accepted as printed. Commissioner Hannon seconded and it passed unanimously.
