Montpelier Senior Activity Center Advisory Board Meeting June 25, 2013 DRAFT MINUTES Members Present: Tina Muncy, Jane Osgatharp, Fran Krushenick, Peter Harris, Liz Dodge, Janet Ressler, Sue Stukey and MSAC Director, Janna Clar. Guests: Jessie Baker, Assistant City Manager Absent: Sylvia Kingsbury and Frank Woods. Meeting was called to order at 2:15 pm by acting chair, Janna Clar Business: 1. Members welcomed newly elected member: Sue Stukey and congratulated continuing elected members: Fran Krushenick and Tina Muncy. 2. Election of Officers: a. Members nominated and elected Tina Muncy as Chair b. Members nominated and elected Jane Osgatharp as Vice-Chair c. Members nominated and elected Sue Stukey as Secretary 3. Other Business: a. The Montpelier Chamber Orchestra Fund Raiser: Montpelier Home Tour, will be held on Saturday, October 5, from 10-5 pm. The Senior Center needs 10-20 volunteers to serve as “docents” in rotating shifts at one house for the event. The Senior Center will receive $15 of every $20 ticket sold by members in advance. b. Coffee at the Center: Janna expressed concern about the cost of providing coffee at the Keurig machine. It costs the Center about $2,000 a year and we need some way to recoup some of that expense. After discussing various possibilities, Jane Osgatharp moved, and Liz Dodge seconded that: Motion: “The MSAC will provide information, in a sign posted at the coffee pot, regarding the cost of coffee and requesting a suggested donation of $1.00 per cup. This decision will be re-visited in 3 months to ascertain its effectiveness.” c.
