Montpelier Senior Activity Center 58 Barre Street, Montpelier, VT 05602 A Place for Healthy Aging and Lifelong Learning 802-223-2518 • msac@montpelier-vt.org • montpelier-vt.org/msac DRAFT Advisory Council Meeting Minutes Tuesday, June 19, 2018 2:30 – 3:00 PM MSAC Resource Room, Montpelier, Vermont Meeting convened at 2:35 PM Present at Roll Call: Chair Bob Barrett, Mary Carlson, Liz Dodd, Bill Doelger, Barbara Ladabouche, Dianne Maccario, Laura Morse, dianne richardson Director Janna Clar AC Members not present: Fran Krushenick, Eric Rajendra A quorum (6) was exceeded Votes  Bob Barret was reelected Chair and Liz Dodd was reelected Vice Chair of the Advisory Council  FY19 meeting dates approved were third Mondays, 12:30 – 3:00 pm July 16th (early start at 11:30 am); September 17th, November 19th, January 14th (second Monday), March 18th, and May 20th  Final FY19 Advisory Council meeting Tuesday, June 18th before MSAC Annual Meeting Announcements  Under new Governance the position of Secretary was eliminated  Becca Jordan will replace Dan Groberg on the Fundraising Committee  Advisory Council Committees under Director’s supervision: Tina Muncy – Trips; Becca Jordan – Fundraising; Bob Barrett – Programing; Jessica Sanderson – Hospitality & Membership; Ad Hoc Committee: Accreditation - Rilla Murray; Safety Task Force – Liz Dodd and dianne richardson Director's Notes  Available at the MSAC front office. Discussions:  Janna will call Finance Committee meetings as needed  Concern about low attendance at Annual Meetings and solutions Actions  Jessica will ask Geraldine Brown to volunteer as AC scribe (update, declined)  Janna will invite Todd Provencher in September to speak with AC, open to the public  AC members should submit Agenda items at least one week prior to meetings  Invite Bill Fraser to participate in Accreditation process Add to July 16, 2018 Agenda:  Increasing Annual Meeting turn out  Accreditation process assignments Meeting adjourned at 3:05 PM.
