Montpelier Recreation Department Advisory Board Meeting Minutes October 3, 2016 Attendees: James “Buz” Surwilo, Karlynn Koenemann Absent Board Members: Andrea Talentino Attending Recreational Department Staff: Arne McMullen, Eric White Attending From Community: Chris, Sarah Call to order 5:45 p.m. I. Public Presentations a. Valentines Dance: i. Something that is more open. ii. Possible remaming. II. Approval of May and June 2016 minutes. a. Could not approve minutes. III. Financial Statements a. Reviewed with Board. IV. Old Business a. Program Coordinator i. Introduced Eric White. Started Sept. 15. b. Community Services (Resource Sharing) i. Working more together to find possible efficiencies. ii. Maintenance Staff, parks volunteers. V. New Business a. Ski/Skate Sale i. Volunteers. ii. Ian from local shop came in to remove unserviceable equipment. iii. First attempt with credit cards. b. Pool Facility i. Create shade area off building. ii. Fixing up some areas around pool. c. Upcoming Budget Timeline i. Set up a time for budget input from board. TBD.  d. Community Services – Upcoming Retreat i. Meeting around the process of departments working more closely together. ii. Possible creating more opportunities. VI. Directors Report a. Admin Office Update. i. Admin. Office in Senior Center to register for programs. ii. Coordination of office coverage. VII.
