MONTVERDE TOWN COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES September 18, 2024, AT 6:30 P.M. TOWN COUNCIL MEMBERS PRESENT Jim Peacock, Vice Mayor Jim Ley Counciimember Alian Hartie, Counciimember Caroi Womack, Counciimember TOWN COUNCIL MEMBERS NOT PRESENT Joe Wynkoop, Mayor STAFF PRESENT Paul Larino, Town Manager Anita Geraci-Carver, Town Attorney Sandra Johnson, Town Clerk CALL TO ORDER AND OPENING CEREMONIES Vice Mayor Peacock called the meeting to order and lead the Pledge of Allegiance. Resolution No.2024-134 A Resolution of the Town Council of the Town of Montverde, Florida, adopting the final levying of Ad Valorem Taxes for the Town of Montverde, Lake County, Florida for Fiscal year 2024-2025; providing for an effective date. Town Attorney Geraci-Carver read Resolution No. 2024-134. Vice Mayor Peacock stated this is setting the millage rate and final levying of Ad Valorem taxes. Vice Mayor Peacock opened the public hearing. No one spoke in favor of or against the Resolution. Vice Mayor Peacock closed the public hearing. There was brief discussion. Counciimember Ley moved to approve Resolution No. 2024-134. Counciimember Fiartle seconded. Resolution No. 2024-134 approved 4-0. (Mayor Wynkoop was not present Resolution No. 2024-135 A Resolution of the Town Council of the Town of Montverde, Florida, Adopting the final budget for Fiscal Year 2024-2025; providing for an effective date. Vice Mayor Peacock opened the public hearing. No one spoke in favor of or against the Resolution. Vice Mayor Peacock closed the public hearing. There was brief discussion. Councilmember Hartle moved to approve Resolution No. 2024-135. Councilmember Womack seconded. Resolution No. 2024-135 approved 4-0. (Mayor Wynkoop was not present) REMINDERS AND ADJOURNMENT Motion to Adjourn Councilmember Hartle moved to adjourn the meeting. Councilmember Womack seconded.
